Ahrbrück station The station was opened as Brück (Ahr) in 1912 and used as such until the discontinuation of the passenger services in 1985. It was reopened in June 1996 after the rebuilding of the platform and the lifting of all remaining points. This was the first reactivation of a closed railway in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz) in the new integrated "Rheinland-Pfalz-Takt" timetable scheme. It was then renamed as "Ahrbrück". On Christmas 1999 the remaining 3 km to Hönningen were closed for all traffic due to lack of track maintenance and traffic. |
